Details:
Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) last night from the Minas Basin. If you have ever walked on the mud flats of the Minas Basin in Nova Scotia you will know that there are certain areas where you will sink in the mud past your ankles, this is one such area, my boot got stuck in the mud so firmly that my foot would come out, I ended up pushing my hand down into the mud to extract my boot, washing my hands in a tidal pool and wiping my muddy hands clean and dry on my clothing, my tripod legs also became caked in mud, was the effort worth it, you tell me. I figured that this night would be the best to photograph the comet since it is the first without moonlight or twilight interference even though the comet has dimmed substantially in the past two weeks. In the last two images the rising moon helped illuminate the rocks but also washed out the sky.
