Picked it up last evening only on digital camera. Tonight clearly in view above NY City, a naked-eye object, if just barely. Nothing like the views from the Canary Islands! but very impressive nevertheless. In digital shots, as opposed to low-power telescope and 9x35 binos, the 3-5 degrees of tail, or traces of it, were in evidence. See attached. This promises to be better for Northern viewers than McNaught, but we shall see! hanks to viewers on prior days who gave us hints of where exactly to find this comet relative to the sun.
