Details:
I imaged Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS). My image was taken shortly after sunset with a Canon 70 - 200mm lens at 70 mm. The boats' green color is from a green light on the pole near them. As the night went on the sky got darker and the comet got more easier to see. I could see it in my camera viewfinder. Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) is a comet from the Oort cloud discovered by the Purple Mountain Observatory in China on 9 January 2023 and independently found by ATLAS South Africa on 22 February 2023. The comet passed perihelion at a distance of 0.39 AU on 27 September 2024, when it became visible to the naked eye. I was lucky to have had the opportunity to image this beautiful comet at its closest distance to Earth on 10-12-2024.
I have more images to share that I use larger camera lenses. The largest was the Canon 300mm @.2.8 It is small in this image. Venus is also in the picture. At the time of this image, you could just start to see some of the come tail.
Kind Regards To ALL 🙂
