Details:
Looking towards Cambuslang from Cathkin braes Glasgow you could see very vibrant red aurora band seen with the naked eye tonight ,even though red is usually the hardest colour for the retina to see in the Aurora spectrum with naked eye ,therfore usually seen more often through the camera lens with green usually the easiest to see at any given time due to the mix with the oxygen gases in the atmosphere.
Tonight was the total opposite with the nitrogen gasses being the dominant that lite up the sky in a bright crimson red .
Eventually a massive red corona appeared next to Polaris and danced like crazy for a while ,meanwhile my iPhone took its last breath and was dead for the night as it was now into the early hours of the 11th October.
I was totally awestruck to see it so well so far south of the arctic circle where our tour's can be joined every night until 30th April 2025.
iPhone 13 night settings 4 seconds.
