Details:
We had some cloud cover during the G4 storm but they easily blasted through the clouds. My UPS battery backups that protect my A/V and computing equipment were cutting in and out during the storm and the voltage was fluctuating significantly so the storm was affecting the power grid in our rural area outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario. The most significant comment I can make about this storm was the intensity of colour visible to the naked eye, especially the reds. At one point it got so bright that I could have read a newspaper.
Pretty amazing.
