Details:
Since last night's display spilled south across so many US states, it felt appropriate to shoot them with an iconic US landmark! The auroras were so bright in South Dakota, they turned the faces of the presidents on Mount Rushmore pink! Around 1:30am local time, the auroras exploded into pink pillars during a brilliant substorm. I frantically switched between my 50mm and 14mm on the Canon 6D to capture multiple timelapse sequences. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/7NBQnWoJBhY
