Wow, what a night. There were many phases to this display. The first phase consisted of what I believe to be a SAR arc just before the storm intensified and I posted them earlier on Spaceweather. The next phase was mostly green and purples, followed by a breathtaking display of reds which were easily visible to the naked eye in our dark sky location on Lake Superior. This display rivals many other storms which I have witnessed in over 20 years of aurora viewing and photography.
