Details:
After a one hour drive I managed to find some breaks last night, and was lucky enough to catch the aurora from Edzell, a small town just south of the Braes of Angus. The aurora was visible in the late twilight before fading a little, but it was then that I noticed what looked like a searchlight to the east. As the clouds cleared I was able to see the whole of the STEVE structure just south of the zenith. The whole sky image is composed of 12 images, taken around 1942 UTC with an astro modified Canon 6da, and IRIX 15mm lens. Over the following 10-15 minutes the structure faded into a Stable Arora ARC (SAR), as you can see in the last image taken at 1958 UTC . I've seen STEVE quite a few times, going back to 2012, but this is the first time I've been able to capture an all-sky image.
