Details:
A very beautiful, unexpected display, I watched the aurora for over two hours, and it continues now as I post this after 0400UTC. After 2100 local time (0100 UT, October 8th), the sky had that glow to north when it should have been pitch dark. The movie covers an hour from 0140 to 0240 UTC, no colors were really visible to the naked eye, with the first half hour only a general glow widely to the north, then the pillars and structures became very visible, active, and became very bright. Captured via mobile phone, the less active display at ISO1600/8"/F1.5, the more active display at ISO3200/4"/F1.5. I don't think I've seen the reds become that degree of pink before in my images.
