Around 9:30 pm ct, the aurora changed from a dull glow on the northern horizon to faint red easily visible and a few dancing pillars of light. I pointed my camera slightly northeast to frame in West church of rural Moody County, SD for this image taken just before 10pm. The red and pillars began to fade about five to ten minutes afterwards.
