Overlay of three images showing the movement of asteroid 1355 Magoeba in about 10 minutes. Images taken on 09/26/2024 between 20:08 and 20:18 UTC during the search for possible extragalactic supernovae, here in the galaxies NGC 777 and NGC 778 in the constellation of Triangulum. The asteroid was identified using the online service MPChecker offered by the Minor Planet Center. The asteroid was discovered on 1935 in South Africa, and is named after a Transvaal tribal chief. Newton 10" f/4.8, Canon Rebel T-6, 3X45 sec. 1600 ISO.
