Details:
Solar filaments can be seen on the disc of the sun, while prominences are seen on the sun's edge. In reality, they represent the same process. On 09-16-24 there was a nice example of this transition on the sun's northeast limb. Lunt 152mm H-alpha scope double-stacked + 2X Powermate + ZWO ASI183MM camera. Stack of 80 best frames.
