Details:
Last night, at 11:24 p.m., the northern lights reached their breathtaking peak along the Ottawa River, near the boat launch in Cumberland. The auroras danced across the sky, reflecting off the river’s surface, while the industrial lights of the Masson pulp and paper mill and Hexo glowed softly in the distance across the water. A powerful G4 geomagnetic storm hit its peak, with a Kp index of 8, creating this incredible display of the Aurora Borealis. The vibrant colours and patterns illuminated the night, capturing nature's raw, ethereal beauty in a rare moment of celestial wonder.
