Details:
The conditions were right for a moon-illuminated rainbow last night. Rain showers were in the area, and the bright full moon was setting in the west behind thick clouds. Amazingly, it started to rain just as the moon peeked out from behind the clouds. That's when the magic started to happen. The white arc was faint at first but then brightened and stretched into a full bow. I used an umbrella to help shield the camera from the rain as I snapped a few photos. It only lasted a few minutes and then faded. This was my third moonbow sighting in the past three months... one for each full moon.
