Details:
When I looked outside around 3:30am and saw a hint of red in the northern sky. I hurriedly grabbed my camera and headed to the coolest place I could think of to photograph the aurora. That place is the Owens Valley Radio Observatory (near Bishop, CA). Luckily the red aurora was still visible. It was a glorious site to see under these beautiful radio telescopes.
