Details:
A rather rare encounter is currently visible deep in the morning sky. On Saturday morning, Mercury was 2.9° northeast of Regulus and will pass by it on Monday, 09.09.2024 with only 0.5°. Although Mercury usually passes the main star in the constellation Leo once a year, in order to be visible, Mercury must also have the appropriate distance from the Sun.
