Details:
I made a collage using two images taken respectively at the beginning and at the ending of the occultation. Brightness and color balance are different between the two images because at the ending of the occultation the Sun was rising. Two distinct processings were done for the Moon and Saturn, then they were joined together using as reference a frame where both the Moon and Saturn were visible (with an intermediate exposure between the one required by Saturn and by the Moon). The time of the shot is: 2024 August 21, UT 03:31 (left image) and 04:33 (right image). Location: Marina di Massa (Tuscany, Italy), home garden. Equipment: - Celestron Nexstar 127slt maksutov telescope - Zwo ADC - Zwo Asi 120mc-s color camera. Processing: - PIPP (debayer) - Autostakkert (stacking) - Registax (sharpening) - Adobe Photoshop.
