Details:
A few photos I took at the public Perseids event (Aug12-13) of our local astronomy association Antares Trieste. Here in Italy unfortunately the G4 phase of the aurora happened at daylight: at night we had G1 (G2 the previous night) which here in Europe at 45N means just weak red aurora/SAR in photo. Still a beautiful night since with Perseids and hundreds of people. But the most beautiful sight in the night was the Mars-Jupiter alignment (although tonight they will be even closer), especially at twilight when the blue sky contrasted at most the Mars color. Reflex on tripod.
