Details:
All night Auroras! Western Colorado 38.87 N. Dodging storms and clouds, I caught the first display around 12:30 AM (6:30 UTC), glorious pink and red reaching to the zenith. Bright to the unaided eye with a hint of color. Then it subsided and some clouds rolled in. I went out again later after it had cleared and much more purple in the oncoming twilight. I saw lots of Perseids, too! And Jupiter and Mars and getting closer! A very magical night.
