The best of this morning's auroral display (12 August 2024) photographed from the south of England (Latitude: 51.42 N). The photos have had their image levels enhanced to increase contrast and brightness to make the aurora clearer. In reality this was mainly a photographic event from my light polluted town location - with only a vague hint of red faintly visible to eye at the peak (when these photos were taken). These photos were taken at 0048, 0050 and 0102 BST (UT+1). The last (cropped) image shows the aurora with a perseid meteor.
