Details:
I went out around 10:30pm local time with the expectation of a nice Aurora show even though conditions weren't anything to write home about (kp=2.33). A large dull band of Aurora was barely visible to the eyes stretching across the entire northern sky and it stayed this way for quite some time. Then around 12:30am is when activity picked up, the band starting exhibiting pillars and red/pink Auroras became brighter. The bright Auroras moved from right (NE) across the sky like a huge curtain being drawn towards the left (NW). All in all, it was a decent show. Also visible were numerous Perseid meteors (one captured in first photo, just right of center).
