Details:
On Wednesday 7th August, the Sun was observed setting behind trees on a ridge to the WNW of Murambi between 5.19 and 5.21 pm. A sequence of 16 still close-ups taken between 5.19 and 5.20 has been used to produce a time-lapse animation and photo montage of this symmetrical sunset in progress. Smoke-haze close to the horizon attenuated the brightness of the Sun sufficiently for detail to be captured. In one image the Sun appears to be setting fire to the canopy of the trees behind which it is descending. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
