Details:
While at Desert View photographing milky way panorama I did notice some faint reddish diffuse color at the NE horizon. I attributed it to either haze/light pollution or maybe some red air glow as much of the sky had a green tint. About 11:30 PM the NE horizon showed definite auroral activity. About midnight, moved on to another location for a difference perspective and aurora no longer visible on photographs, either receded or blocked from view by geology.
