Details:
The Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex is one of a network of three satellite communication stations belonging to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (the other two being located in Goldstone, California, and Madrid, Spain). The pictured 70 metre dish (DSS43) is the only remaining antenna on earth capable of communicating with Voyager 2. The visitor centre at the CDSCC was a fascinating place to visit. Sadly, it was closed to the public during the Covid pandemic, and it remains closed for the foreseeable future.
