Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks imaged on June 26, 2024, moving away while passing over the background of the Milky Way in the constellation Puppis. With a brightness of magnitude 7.5 and still observable with binoculars from the southern hemisphere, it shows its ion tail with two jets pointing towards the bright blue star f Puppis of magnitude 4.5, and its dust tail in the opposite direction. Telescope Takahashi FSQ106-ED f/5.0 Mount ASA DDM60 Pro Camera Moravian C3-61000 Exposure 18 min. (L=5x180 bin2 + RGB=1x60 bin2)
