Noon at the summer solstice 2024: On June 21, 2024 we happened to be in Valencia, Spain, that has a nice astronomy park close to the local science museum. The park features an installation that visualizes coordinate lines on the celestial sphere. The visitor has to lie down on an inclined bench to see the sun (or other celestial objects) behind the metal framework depicting the equator, the meridian and other lines. The photos show Erwin from project nightflight experiencing the solstice noon 2024 and the corresponding view of Valencia’s southern sky.
