Details:
I have been seeing airglow of various intensity on most nights since May 28th. Yesterday there were some severe T-storms out east on the plains, which tend to make the ripples brighter and more active. Last night the airglow was noticeable in the camera around 11 pm, and appeared to brighten and peak in intensity around 12:30 am, becoming visible to the naked eye. It reminded me of watching an aurora brighten, but instead of the rays extending from the north, they appeared to extend and grow from the east towards the west. I could feel a rush of excitement as I watched the sky getting brighter. The ripples stayed visible as a soft glow, brightest to the north, well into the early hours of the morning. It was a delight to behold.
