Details:
I had a good view of Mercury May 22, 2024 at 14:05 UT when it was at least 55 degrees above the horizon. I didn't find the seeing great but there were some fine moments.
Mercury passed the greatest elongation last week and now it displays a gibbous phase. Actually, this is a boring side of the surface with lack of rayed craters. But there is a bright region Lugus Planitia which it seen just below left center in the image. It matches very well with the WinJUPOS simulator.
