Details:
I work for the Mt St Helens Institute and was lucky enough to get to photograph the Aurora Saturday morning. With the mountain to my south and east, I never dreamed I’d be able to compose the two together. I started freaking out a little when I noticed it getting brighter over the mountain and about lost it when I realized the Milky Way was up too. I couldn’t have dreamt up a better composition.
