Details:
Astonishing to see such bright, colorful, and dynamic aurora this far south. Far surpasses the auroras last seen here in 2003. People were running outdoors to see the display! We really lucked out by having clear skies and only a sliver of a moon. I just wish the streetlights weren't there to contend with, and I had an even wider lens aperture. Shot on my Leica SL with the 24-90 asph. lens, wide open at 24 mm, over a variety of ISO from 12500 down to 1600, and about 1/3 second exposures. I applied heavy noise reduction in post.
