Details:
I don't remember the last time I saw an aurora as majestic as this one... ...I also don't remember the last time I saw an aurora show starting above the southern horizon instead of the northern horizon. It feels like I was looking at the "backside" of the auroral oval. In both cases, it definitely takes a G5 level storm to do that! Image taken at 10:03 PM local time near Saint-Elzéar, Quebec. Equipment: Sony a7rIII camera with a 16-35mm F4 lens. Yes, you read that right! Only F4 aperture. The auroras were THAT bright! Settings: Only 2 seconds exposure, F4 and ISO-1600.
