Details:
Very intense red and pink aurora were visible from Mount Wilson Observatory in Southern California on the night of May 10-11 for about two hours, but were still naked eye bright from about 10 pm to 4:30 am. The red display extended overhead at its peak. Blue and violet displays arrived after the red subsided. Bright vertical structure was easily seen at times. Images taken with an iPhone 13 and 14 Pro with exposures of 3 and 10 seconds.
