Details:
This was from Friday night. As soon as it got dark there was a faint red glow and then a green glow on the northern horizon appeared. During the 10pm EDT hour the sky lit up with dancing red, green, and purple pillars that became quite bright at times! It was something you would be used to seeing a high latitudes but not in North Carolina! It was so prevalent across the sky that aurora was overhead and even to the south! After 11pm it faded out as the Bz went north.
