A G5 solar event was underway over North America on Friday night, May 10, 2024, and Marion, Iowa got in on the show. This image of the aurora looks north from just northeast of Marion at 10:00 pm CDT. It is an 8 second exposure at f/4, ISO 800, 24mm focal length. Nikon Z6ii camera.
