Details:
Reddish, pinkish, and purplish auroras were observed in Sierra Vista, Arizona, 31.5° N, 110.3° W (70 miles southeast of Tucson) on Friday, May 11, 2024, 11:00 p.m. to Saturday, May 12, 1:30 a.m. Some were visible to the unaided eye but the Canon R5 at long exposures (10 to 20 seconds) was needed to see the colorful details. It was thrilling and we can't wait for Round 2 on Saturday night!
