Details:
Auroras during the May 10-11 2024 solar storm, as seen from 20 minutes east of Seattle, WA. At their peak they formed a band directly overhead from horizon to horizon, hard to photograph because they were shifting so fast. They looked green to the naked eye but the camera picked up reds, purples, and blues like I've never seen. Nikon D3500 18mm, F/3.5, ISO 3200, 8 second exposure.
