Details:
What a night! With the strongest geomagnetic storm in over 20 years in process, I decided to escape the coastal low clouds and haze of the Los Angeles Basin and drove up to 5700ft Mt. Wilson in the San Gabriel Mountains. The air was clear and dry and as darkness fell, over half of the sky was faintly glowing red and pink! All images taken with a Canon EOS 6D Mark II and either a Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 fisheye or Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 lens. ISO1600 for 10-15 sec exposures.
