Details:
Today (Tuesday) was a good day for solar observing and some imaging on May 7, 2024 between 15:20 UT and 17:25 UT. The seeing was average.
AR #13663 is quite impressive as it gets closer to the western limb. In Ha light, I caught the end of class M8.1 flare in 16:36 UT image. Visually, it was much brighter about 5 minutes earlier. But it produced some larger flares during the past week. But most of them occurred at night our time.
AR #13664 and AR #13668 are nearly in the center of the solar disk and there are quite impressive with an unusual pattern shape in White Light. Both groups together visible naked eye with the eclipse glasses. In Ha light, again I caught two subflares in 17:35 UT image. Very impressive!
Also, I caught some spicules (burning prairie) in Ha light along the western limb at 15:58 UT. I might have captured the right moment to see the spicules clearly. Visually in high power, which was quite dim and small, still you can see them going up and down if you stare at them for a while. Then there was a nice prominence at the SW limb.
