Details:
After the spectacular total solar eclipse on April 8, which captured worldwide attention, on April 18 our star bestowed upon us a new gift: a monstrous prominence that rose over 80,000 km in height and stretched over 300,000 km in width. This impressive plasma structure, located in the southeast limb of the sun, was not particularly bright, which compelled me to carefully adjust my camera's exposure to capture this final image, a mosaic composed of six panels. I included an image of Earth for scale to illustrate the sheer size of the solar prominence. Just below, the complex sunspots AR3643 and AR3645 could be observed. It was truly a fascinating surprise!
