Details:
12P/Pons-Brooks on the evening of 2024 April 20 UT was magnitude G=4.5 as calculated from 8x15 second images taken thru a green filter in an aperture diameter of 10'. As one can see from the animation the images were collected as twilight started to fade only to be replaced by Moonshine from the 87% illuminated Moon. It also did not help that all the images were collected below an altitude of 6 degrees. Most of the tail and coma were washed out by light pollution, twilight, Moonlight and atmospheric interference.
