Details:
SpaceX/Falcon 9 launched at 0140 UTC 15 April from Cape Canaveral SFB, Florida with an expected pass over the southwest at ~0310 UTC 15 April. I was hoping for a de-orbit burn to take place and was not disappointed. In the longer composite image the burn starts when the rocket was between the Moon and Pleiades. This can be seen better in the single frame where there is a sudden increase in brightness.

As the second stage passed overhead there was some delicate coloring of the expanding gases -- but I was unable to swing the camera around quickly enough. A few seconds later and it passed into Earth's shadow and was gone.

Nikon D750, 24mm, f/4, ISO 100, 30 seconds (+2EV exposure boost in post processing).
