Details:
During this total solar eclipse two cardinal birds were singing to us and a jet airplane flew by above the eclipsed sun. The picture of the moon was taken 2 days after the eclipse when I returned to Idaho. The picture of the eclipsed sun, along with Jupiter and Venus was taken with a 28mm focal length lens. The exposure was 1/4 second at f6.3 and ISO 400. The picture of the crescent moon was taken with an 8-inch telescope. The exposure was for 3 seconds at f/10 and ISO 800. Jupiter and Venus had been easy to see but I could not see Mercury. While in Bloomington, we drove by the Kirkwood Observatory before the eclipse and I took a picture. It was there I first looked through an astronomical telescope in June of 1959 at the planet Jupiter.
