Details:
Yesterday’s rain moved on, leaving the sky crystal blue for today’s eclipse in Carbondale, IL. This image shows Bailey’s Beads at the onset of totality. It was just as incredible as it looks! I used an 8-inch Celestron Nexstar telescope and a Nikon D700 camera for this 1/8000th second exposure at ISO 200 at 1:59 pm CDT on 4/8/2024.
