Details:
Living in New Zealand on the opposite side of the world has it's advantages - we can monitor the sun while the rest of the world is in darkness. I was able to capture the decline stages of a X-class solar fare. About 1.5 hours after the flare reached it's maximum. Image captured in Ha light using a double stacked Coronado external Etalons fitted to the Takahashi FS-60 scopes working at f/20 with the aid of the 1.7x Takahashi module plus a 2x Tele Vue Powermate, BF30 blocking filter and a ZWO ASI432MM camera.
