AURORA BOREALIS OVER SAXONY… DESPITE BRIGHT MOONLIGHT! I couldn't believe my luck... 🙂. With no hope of seeing anything, I left my camera running in continuous mode! At 20:39 UT the first red beamer suddenly appeared on the camera display! Beautifully photographed despite the bright moonlight! Visually you could hardly guess anything! Taken on the Landberg hill (426 m a.s.l.) near Herzogswalde, 17 km southwest of Dresden (51°N). Canon EOS 6D Mark II + Sigma Art 1.4/24 mm (F3.2), ISO 1600, 6s, 20:40 UT
