Details:
I had been chasing the elusive Pup star since 2011 and finally succeeded in March of 2018 when the star was at an altitude of only 8° above Stockholms rooftops on a night of extremely low turbulence. Here the star never gets higher than 14°. Until now I have not succeeded in getting a second image to make a 2 image animation. Yesterday Hans Hilderfors, a fellow Swedish amateur astronomer, uploaded an image of Sirius B that he had caught from Malmö in the South of Sweden using a TEC 160 FL f/7 apo refractor. For my image from 2018 I had used an OMC-200 f/20 Maksutov from OrionOptics UK. I have now made the 2-image flip animation showing Sirius B orbiting around Sirius A during a period of 6 years. Now we are getting ready for another image in 2030 :-) /*Peter R & Hans H
