12P/Pons-Brooks @ 2024 February 29, 19:30 UT
Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks on February 29, 2024, during one of its last outbursts with a brightness at magnitude 5.7, which is clearly visible in this image. It shows a strongly condensed and contrasted green coma enveloping a false bright white nucleus. The ionic tail extends with several jets to the north, the most powerful of which extends beyond the image field with over one degree of length.
