Details:
This naked eye sunspot was captured using a Nikon Coolpix P950 @ 2000mm (frame of a video). I discovered by taking a select frame that has minimal distortion due to turbulence, the best stable image was easier to acquire. The dirty look of the sun was due to passing clouds. Sure resembled the Hawaiian Islands from space. A ND1000 and ND64 filter were used (16-stops).
