Details:
Captured on the 22th of January, 2024, from Dark Sky® Alqueva region, Portugal, a high-resolution image and time lapse sequence features the chromosphere activity, revealing a large prominence in motion. It’s possible to see a lot of interesting changes on its shape. We can also notice a lot of fine spicules surrounding the solar disc, while the chromosphere itself is showing a slower motion. Even with a few high clouds which almost distroyed the sequence, I’ve manage to manually adjust the quick changes in light and keep the sequence runing to produce a time lapse of about 332 images. The final result is a 4K high resolution solar movie comprising around 2h of photos.
