Details:
X class flare! This was taken with a 700mm focal length Hydrogen alpha solar telescope. Monochrome camera. False color added. It is cloudy over my house today in Honolulu. I saw there was a large flare but could only catch it as it decayed to about X1 in for this shot at 22:35 UTC on January 31. Only had about 5 seconds between clouds to capture 100 frames to stack for this shot. Stacked the highest quality 30 or so frames.
